I'm Ken, and I earned my license as a massage therapist in the State of Florida in September of 2012. I was born in San Francisco in 1970, and lived in California for the better part of 39 years. During the final few years there, some horrible things happened to me. That obliterated my existence there, with no chance of recovery. I finally realized that California was no longer my home and I could never effectively heal there, so I packed- up my bags and moved 3,367 miles (that was the U-Haul odometer reading) to Tampa Bay in hopes for reinventing myself and rebuilding a new existence from the ground up. That didn't happen overnight, but with the grace of God it did happen eventually. I toyed with changing careers from information technology into holistic health for several years prior to my move to Florida, but once I was here, I needed to do some serious soul-searching and make that decision once and for all. After a year of living in Florida, I immersed myself into massage school and didn't look back. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my entire life. Now, after practicing massage therapy for over seven years, I can't remember a time in my life when I was happier with an occupation. Don't get me wrong, this is in fact a job, but it has also proven to be mutual healing experience between me and my clients; I have never felt a more spiritual and human connection with people before in all of my prior existence. THAT is why I continue to offer massage therapy.
Below are the details of my career in bodywork...
